Leavenworth.

My friend recommended a visit to Leavenworth, WA, which ended up being one of my favorite parts of my trip to the NW. You drive through this beautiful wilderness and suddenly come upon a town that is completely Bavarian themed. I'm talking EVERYTHING...even the gas station. Turns out it has nothing to do with their cultural heritage, but an idea the town came up with to save their failing economy back in the 60's. Apparently it worked! I loved everything weird about this place--which is everything.

I camped outside of town in this lovely, quiet spot. When I say "camp" I mean I slept in my hatchback. It was awesome.
